Changing your Windows Password
Your computer password helps you secure the personal and business sensitive information and should never be shared with anyone.
For security purposes you will periodically be required to change your password. Typically, this will happen when you are attempting to login to your computer. However, this can also occur when you are logged in and using your computer. If this occurs you will notice that you'll lose access to the network drives, you will stop receiving e-mail on both your computer and mobile device and may even be forced to log out of your computer in the middle of a task. The following steps will guide you through resetting your password:
1. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del on your keyboard to get to the Security Screen
2. Click "Change your Password"
3. At this point you will be prompted to enter your Old Password
4. Input a new password and enter it again to confirm that you have not made any spelling errors
Passwords must be secure. The password must contain a Capital Letter, a number, a special character and has to be longer then 8 characters
5. If your password change is successful, you will be presented with the following screen (or similar)
Otherwise, you will need to create a more sophisticated password.
6. You may notice that after changing your windows password that Office (including Outlook) will no longer receive mail and will prompt you to login again. When logging into Outlook please remember to use your e-mail address and newly created password and not your computer login. For example, test@panoramaresort.com and not panorama\test.
